WANTED
SECRETARY-TREASURER

The Mid-South Sociological Association needs a Secretary-Treasurer to take office on January 1, 2005.
The office is the unpaid recording and budgetary officer of the MSSA. The term of office is three calendar years.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining accurate and current account of all financial transactions of the Association.
Preparing and presenting financial reports to the executive Council at each Annual Meeting and Winter Meeting.
Preparing the Association's budget and service on the Budget Committee.
Administering the Operating Fund Account, Reserve Fund Account, and Investment Account.
Maintaining an accurate and current record of the membership.
Service on the Site Selection Committee.

The Position is open to active, regular members of the MidSouth Sociological Association.
Knowledge of realtional database software (i.e., MS Access) and/or accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks) will be helpful, but is not essential.
